Warsash Band annual awards

The Warsash Band's annual awards have returned, with Claire Hogan and Richard Cox receiving the 2022 trophies.

As a community organisation, the band relies on the the enthusiasm and dedication of its members. To reflect this, it has for many years presented awards to one main band and one training band member each year, to recognise exceptional contributions to the success of the band. These could include supporting other players, or proactively helping with tasks to ensure rehearsals and performances run smoothly.

Sadly no trophies for 2020 and 2021 could be awarded due to the covid-19 pandemic. However by the end of 2022 the band had completed its first full year of activities following the pandemic, and so the Director of Music Jon Audain and chairperson Anne Saxton were delighted to be able to present the awards once again at the band's Christmas Concert.

As always, the concert proved a resounding success, with the audience enjoying a wide range of music in the first half, before getting into the Christmas spirit with festive tunes and singalongs.
