Join Warsash Band

Do you play a woodwind or brass instrument, or percussion?

Would you like to get involved in a local, established and friendly band?

The Warsash Band aims to give local people the chance to take part in quality music making, and as such, we welcome new members subject to limits on section numbers. If you'd like to join us, please send us a message to check whether we have spaces for your instrument(s).

We suggest a minimum standard of around grade 6 or equivalent for the main band. If you feel the need to build up your confidence then you can always try the training section first (minimum standard grade 2 or equivalent). Both the training section and the main band have members of all ages, from school children to pensioners.

We rehearse every Thursday 6:30pm - 7:30pm (training section), and 7:45pm - 9:45pm (main band), at St Mary's Church in Warsash. There is a subscription charge of £40 per year (or £80 per year for family membership), which goes towards new music and instruments. However, you are welcome to come along for a couple of weeks to see how you enjoy it before committing to this.

There are some instruments we're particularly on the lookout for, so if you play any of the following then we would be delighted to hear from you. We can accept new players on most other instruments into our training section, including more experienced musicians who'd like to support their fellow players. Unfortunately we don't have spaces for any other instruments in our main band, to ensure we maintain a balanced band.
